My personal story consists of a lifelong battle with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). While studying and researching, I spoke with many women who didn't understand the natural process of ovulation and menstruation and I found that if they became educated on the process many of them successfully conceived. This influenced my passion for educating women on the medical and holistic approaches to improving fertility.

In this way, I also took charge of my own fertility and in doing so I am incredibly thankful to have conceived nine times. I have had two hospital births, five homebirths, one first-trimester miscarriage, and one ectopic pregnancy which ruptured my fallopian tube resulting in emergency exploratory surgery and removal.

I have spent years passionately advocating for women but didn't officially step into the role of birth worker until Oct 2021, when I began as a birth assistant for local homebirth and birth center midwives.

In February 2022 I decided to further my education and take courses with Childbirth International to become a Certified Birth Doula, Certified Postpartum Doula, and Certified Lactation Counselor.

I continue to work as the owner of Fruitful Beginnings, LLC while also working as a birth assistant, and furthering my education related to pregnancy and birth.

When I am not learning or caring for women during their pregnancies and births, I am home with my amazing husband of 21 years and our seven beautiful kiddos whom are homeschooled! Our days consist of schooling, hanging out on our family farm, church activities, and sports.
